Play to your strengths! Why have a ‘basic’ Youth Week when you could be: playing volleyball, basketball, badminton, dancing and doing Zumba, working out in the gym or penning a (horror story) for a writing contest. King Township has planned a week-long of fun activities from May 1 to 7, in celebration of National Youth Week.

Check out these drop-in sports programs, located at recreation facilities and select schools across the Township. They’re $5 each and participants can pay at the door.

Badminton - Play as singles or doubles. Note: participants are required to bring their own racquets and birdies.

Basketball – Looking to shoot some hoops on your own or start a pick-up game? Meet us on the court! All skill levels welcome.

Volleyball – It’s all about the ace! All skill levels welcome.

Zumba -  Play it loud and rock with friends at this ultimate dance-fitness party! This program features age-appropriate music and moves that get youth movin' to the beat. It's all about feeling fearless on the dance floor, reinforcing the idea that it's okay to just be yourself and dance like no one's watching!

FREE access to the Trisan Fitness Centre
Youth ages 12+ can access the gym and indoor track for free throughout May 1-7. For more information and youth age requirements, visit king.ca/trisancentre
